The Auditore Residence
The Auditore Residence, a local landmark was built in 1964 for the Raskin family. It was designed by Dr. Harold Young, head of the architecture department at the University of Illinois. Stephen and Vicki Auditore acquired the house in 1998. The Auditore's immediately began a major update and restoration of the house. Under the guidance of architect Eric Kleiner the work encompassed a majority of the house including a Zen-garden courtyard and restored it to it's previous place as one of Danville's most unique, interesting and high profile homes. Well suited for entertaining, the Auditore home occasionally hosts one of Chicago's finest, jazz artist Spider Saloff. |
